Emergency Preparedness and Response
Work with senior leaders to develop emergency preparedness and crisis management plans as well as mock exercises to respond to all types of hazards. i.e. natural disasters: forest fires, tornados, floods, etc. Man caused disasters: explosions, workplace violence, pipeline ruptures, etc.
Gap Analysis Assessments
Perform an independent assessment to identify any possible gaps in emergency preparedness plans, crisis management plans and security management plans as compared to company policy and to ensure regulatory compliance.
Crisis Leadership Training
Deliver "Leading During A Crisis" training program to all levels of management including senior leaders. This program provides leadership tools for new management and employees to enable them to function effectively as a member of a crisis management team.
Incident Management & Post Incident Investigations
Provide consulting services to develop a resilient incident management process and design an effective and compliant post incident investigation process.
Workplace Violence Threat Plans
Work with an organization's human resources and security professionals to develop or assess security threat response plans pertaining to workplace violence threats and incidents.

I have over 40 years of experience in the natural gas industry and have held positions of increasing responsibility including engineering, gas transmission and distribution field operations, operations training and Emergency & Security Management.
I share my knowledge and first hand experience in the development, implementation and measurement of the effectiveness of emergency response and security management programs. I have also developed effective post incident investigation processes to field incidents, crisis leadership training, workplace violence security response plans and raising awareness and education of emergency response and pipeline system security procedures.

I have performed emergency recovery work for natural gas systems in the damaged areas of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Sandy.
In 2012 I was the recipient of the Canadian Gas Association’s Lifetime Safety Achievement Award and have been published in the Ontario Technologist and the Infrastructure Resilience Research Group, Faculty of Engineering & Design Carleton University.
